How to get there

The flight to Malta from Munich or Memmingen takes approximately 2¼ hours. Depending on the season, there are very affordable flights available with Ryanair (https://www.ryanair.com/ de/en) from Memmingen (sometimes under €100, excluding baggage) or with Malta Airlines (https://kmmaltairlines.com/en ) from Munich (from approx. €200) in various classes with different baggage allowances.

The apartment itself is located in the western part of the island of Gozo in the municipality of Gharb, about a 20-minute drive from the ferry port of Mgarr.

You can rent a car at Luqa Airport or take the bus and ferry to Gozo and continue by bus from there. Alternatively, you can also use a transport service (Uber, eCab, Wolt, Bolt, etc.). We usually use eCab (app available in the respective stores), which has proven itself and works well, without the other services being any worse.

Unless you are in a real hurry, we recommend taking the bus and ferry to Gozo and then a transport service/taxi from Mgarr. The bus connection on Gozo requires a change in Victoria and takes about an hour to cover the few kilometers, while the taxi is not overpriced at around €20.

If you wan to shave some minutes time off your schedule, instead of the bus (check here for more details) you could either take a taxi or one of the many availble chauffeur companies like eCab, Uber, Bolt, Wolt. You can pre-book them or hail one after exiting the airport.
